MARSHALL, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – There will be two free recycling events in Calhoun County during the month of May as part of the county’s solid waste and recycling program.
Both events accept residential materials and are open to residents of Calhoun County.
All participants are requested to stay inside their vehicles at the events.
The first event will take place on Monday, May 13 at Ketchum Field in Albion. Appliances (without refrigerant), scrap metal, electronics and scrap tires will be collected between 12:00 noon and 5:30 p.m..
The scrap tire collection is funded through an EGLE Scrap Tire Grant and is limited to passenger vehicle tires with or without rims.
Participants must reside n Calhoun County. Commercial business and farm tires are not accepted.
The second collection will be for household hazardous waste on Monday, May 20 between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds in Marshall.
